The business scenario

Making the business easier to choose.

A residential plumbing company offering repairs, drain cleaning, water-heater services and fixture installation.

What stands in the customer’s way

A homeowner knows the shower drains slowly or hot water runs short. They may not know what failed. The website needed to make suitable help easy to find while leaving diagnosis and recommendations with the plumber.

The customer’s perspective

What customers need to know.

  • Recognize their problem without learning plumbing terminology.
  • Understand the service and its practical limits.
  • Find a manageable request or call option on a phone.

What we created

A design with the customer in mind.

  1. 01

Start with what the homeowner notices.

Direct homepage links begin with leaks, drains, hot water and fixture changes. Each connects to a distinct service page. A Services overview and footer links keep those paths available elsewhere.

The intended benefit: visitors can choose a relevant destination without diagnosing the fault.

  2. 02

    Use detail to support confidence.

The service pages explain what the company assesses and handles. Water-heater comparisons include practical capacity and installation considerations instead of promising unlimited hot water or universal savings.

The intended benefit: customers can understand the approach and ask useful questions.

  3. 03

Give the business a warmer identity.

A roof-and-pipe symbol, warm paper, deep petrol and brick-orange accents feel approachable. An offset photo composition sits below the initial routing choices, keeping the visitor’s task ahead of decorative imagery.

The intended benefit: the identity feels distinctive while the useful information stays prominent.

  4. 04

    Keep the first request proportionate.

A visible mobile phone option and an early form support different preferences. The form accepts “Not sure yet” and optional context rather than requiring a technical brief or implying an appointment is already booked.

The intended benefit: the first step stays manageable for someone asking for help.

What this work demonstrates

Problem-first navigation, substantive service copy and mobile contact design that keep assessment with the business.

Scope & context

Eight pages, an original identity and imagery, detailed service comparisons and a local request preview. Contact details and customer stories belong to the concept, not a live plumbing business.

The benefits described here are design intentions, not measured business results. This concept demonstrates the work and reasoning Eventide can bring to an appropriate project.
